In our winter issue, we tell you all about three popular sleep positions — soldier, starfish, and yearner — and what they reveal about your personalities. Well, as promised, here are three more common positions and the personality traits associated with them. Just keep in mind that these are generalizations, and they apply differently to everyone.

The fetus (or fetal) position is believed to be the most common way of sleeping. More girls than boys sleep in this curled up fashion. If you are a fetal sleeper, you are probably a little bit shy when you first meet someone. You may come across as tough on the outside, but those who know you well, know all about your big heart and sensitive nature.

If you look like a log when you sleep — lying on one side with your arms straight down — then chances are you are trusting, social, and mellow. You may also be gullible, so don't believe everything you hear!

People who sleep on their stomachs, with hands up on the pillow and heads turned to one side, are social and often outspoken. Yet, sometimes this confident exterior hides a more vulnerable core — freefall sleepers are known to be very sensitive to criticism.
